This is a concept for the revitalization of the old Panama City Marina and how it would "in turn" help local business in the downtown area. We planned for a lighthouse restaurant to be the focal point which also acted as a tram station. We proposed a tram line down the historic district, connecting it to the marina/ lighthouse...eliminating car traffic at the same time. The proposal also included a small hotel, outdoor market and amphitheater, extra boat storage and slips, an indoor market, childrens play area and amusements, and a yacht club. Unfortunately, we were not the lead developer and this origional design was never seen by the public. We hope the Marina will someday get the love it deserves and revitalize historic downtown and all the business that are suffering due to lack of activity. Enjoy the sketches below!
